Privacy Policy

SocialHuman ("we", "us", "our") is built and operated by Olli Airola from Helsinki, Finland. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.

What we collect

• Account info: Email address, username, display name, and profile photo.
• Content you create: Photos, videos, and text captions posted through the app. All posts are captured live via your device camera.
• Direct messages: Encrypted end-to-end. We store the ciphertext but cannot read your messages.
• Verification metadata: EXIF data, sensor readings, and keystroke timing patterns used to verify that content is authentic and human-created. We analyze these signals server-side and store the verification result (pass/fail), not the raw biometric data.
• Device info: Device model, OS version, and app version for crash reporting and compatibility.
• Subscription data: If you subscribe to SocialHuman Founding Member, RevenueCat (our payment processor) handles the transaction. We receive your subscription status but never your payment details.

How we use your data

• Running your account and delivering content to your feed.
• Verifying that posts are authentic (camera-captured, not AI-generated).
• Computing and displaying your Trust Score.
• Processing subscription status via RevenueCat.
• Sending you notifications you opted into (likes, comments, follows, messages).

Third-party services

• Supabase (Frankfurt, EU) - Authentication and database.
• Cloudflare R2 (EU) - Media file storage.
• RevenueCat - Subscription management. Their privacy policy.
• Fly.io (Stockholm, EU) - Verification microservice hosting.

We do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. No Google Analytics. No Facebook SDK. No ad networks.

We don't sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers. Period. Our business model is optional paid subscriptions, not advertising.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored on servers in the European Union. All data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Direct messages are end-to-end encrypted. We follow GDPR requirements by design, not as an afterthought.

Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your account and all associated data.
• Export your data in a portable format.
• Object to processing.

Account deletion

You can delete your account from the app (Settings > Sign Out > Delete Account), or by emailing us. When you delete your account, we remove your profile, posts, messages, and all associated data. This is permanent and cannot be undone.

Child Safety Standards

SocialHuman is intended for users 18 years of age or older. Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) is strictly prohibited on SocialHuman, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, solicitation, sextortion, and any content that sexualises minors in any form. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18, and any account found to belong to a minor or to be engaged in CSAE is permanently removed.

If you encounter content or behaviour on SocialHuman that you believe violates this policy, you can report it from inside the app using the Report action on any post (three-dot menu → Report), or by emailing olli@olliairola.com for anything the in-app flow does not cover. We review child-safety reports as quickly as possible.

When we confirm a report, we remove the violating content, terminate the responsible account, and preserve relevant data and escalate to the appropriate authorities where required by applicable law.

SocialHuman complies with applicable child-safety laws in the jurisdictions where the app is available. For child-safety reports, law-enforcement inquiries, or press questions, contact olli@olliairola.com.

Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes, we'll notify you through the app before they take effect. Minor clarifications may be made without notice.
